Lovely mid blue cloth with bright gilt lettering and dark orange decorations on front&spine, on front a colour pictorial paste-on, spine tips and corners slightly rubbed, 4 b/w plates, inscription (dated 1914) on front endpaper, very slight foredge foxing, vg. 12mo, 160pp. A lovely little book. The story is taken from Mrs Craik's novel'John Halifax, Gentleman'.
