Job description
This position’s overall objective is to drive the regions efforts to achieve its financial commitments for FlashSystems revenue growth and profit. The position commissioned sales representative role and requires a strong overall knowledge of the IBM’s portfolio of flash-based offerings, especially the IBM Flash Systems product set. Requires excellent knowledge of the enterprise client environment and host-based applications that can benefit from low latency, high performance solutions. A broad understanding of competitive offerings and the flash storage industry is also desirable.
As a sales representative, the applicant will need to be a role model, inspire their teams, drive a culture of sales eminence and demonstrate delivery of client value. Principal responsibilities include leading and directing IBM and Business Partner sales teams to develop flash sales strategies across Storage, System x, and Power brands, create sales collateral and present to client executives and technical personnel. The successful applicant should be able to penetrate competitive storage strongholds and gain new IBM storage customer accounts with direct customer sales contact.
This job also requires presenting enterprise flash storage subjects in multi-brand leveraged client sales events or at IBM Briefing Centers as well as prepare and present materials to educate others on flash storage in IBM inte
al meetings. Maintains expert skills in assisting, engaging and closing sales opportunities, including in-depth financial acquisition skills. Demonstrates expert knowledge of competition in flash storage solutions. Effectively differentiates IBM Flash and solid state technology offerings from competitive alte
atives and createscustomer preference for IBM offerings on that differentiation. Is the primary source of competitive knowledge within the assigned discipline and business unit. Work with the countries to assist, leads negotiations with the highest levels of customer management for the acquisition of the solution. Accountable for success of sales engagements involving Sales and Technical teams. Assist/Leads several opportunities at the same time.
Must be comfortable making cold calls on prospective customers as we develop the market and generate references for our flash-based technology. Proven ability to work with valued business partners.Must possess the soft skills to leverage the IBM Client Sales Teams.
The candidate should be able to communicate client storage needs and requirements to the global brand and development organizations, as well as contribute to inte
al sales tactics and product strategies with the ANZ STG sales management team. This person will be responsible for the regular output and communication of Regions Flash sales and business metrics Flash teammates and leaders. The position also requires accurate forecasting and strong territory managementskills.
Required
* Bachelor''s Degree
* At least 5 years experience in Storage Sales
* At least 3 years experience in forecasting and strong territory management skills.
* English: Fluent
