Your tasks:
- Earn and maintain appropriate certifications
- Administer first aid, such as bandaging, splinting, or administering oxygen
- Report facts concerning accidents or emergencies to hospital personnel or law enforcement officials
- Remove and replace soiled linens or equipment to maintain sanitary conditions
- Place patients on stretchers and load stretchers into ambulances, usually with assistance from other attendants
- Drive ambulances or assist ambulance drivers in transporting sick, injured, or convalescent persons
Your skills:
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment anddetermining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
- Using mathematics to solve problems
- Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system
- Expertise in principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance
